The Eye Clinic in Blekinge has approximately 65 employees across various professional categories.

The operations are led by two department heads and a managing director. We follow medical developments to provide our patients with good and safe care of high quality.

About the Job

We are looking for an orthoptist for our eye clinic in Karlshamn.

In the role of orthoptist, you will be responsible for your own clinic, tailored according to your competence, which includes the following tasks:

• Orthoptist consultations with vision and amblyopia checks.
• Prism treatments as well as follow-up and prescription of prism glasses.
• Assessment of children with low visual acuity and possibly multiple disabilities.
• Neurological/orthoptic investigations, diagnostics, and diplopia analysis.
• Eye motility disorders associated with endocrine ophthalmopathy.
• Collaboration with child health centers (training, advice, and observation).
• Pre- and post-operative checks.
• Preparatory examinations of children and adults with strabismus issues before medical visits.

About You

We are looking for you who are an orthoptist or an ophthalmic nurse or optometrist with a master's degree with the ambition to further educate yourself to become an orthoptist.

As a person, you have a humble attitude with the ability to shift between operational and strategic focus, enjoying taking responsibility and ownership of processes. You believe in team spirit and that we succeed as a team. You are responsible, solution-oriented, and work on problems until they are resolved.
